is a fiber artist based in philadelphia. she explores alternative materials [mostly recycled, reclaimed + rescued], specifically fabrics and yarn, and creates large scale crocheted + knitted works mixed with found objects.
her career in the arts began in new york city in the 1990’s, and life led her back home to philadelphia in 2004, where she lives with her husband
and their daughter.
ms. haims is an active member of the 3rd street gallery, a cooperative gallery in old city. she is the social media coordinator for FiberPhiladelphia 2012, a city wide biennial celebrating all things fiber. additionally, she teaches children and young adults traditional handwork methods, such as knit and crochet, for the handwork studio of narberth, pa.
