april fools

ok so here's how it went:

on april first this guy, andrew stauber, made a big thing. he held a press conference. it was about "e-lanes". for people who are on their phones while walking on city sidewalks. it was very funny. and convincing.

for the mayor, not so much. it was an april fool's joke. here's the video.

so, a few days later the mayor saw andrew ride his bike up to city hall and had a great idea.

what if his bike got yarn bombed while he was here? a few weeks before i had yarn bombed his microphone at his appearance at moore college for the opening lecture of fiberphiladelphia 2012 and his proclamation that march was fiber arts month in the city... so he knew me.

and so they called me.

and i came and yarn bombed the bike for the mayor.

and when andrew left work he was afraid his bike had been stolen because he couldn't find it.

he eventually figured it out.
